Uganda has confirmed 9 Cases of Omicron COVID-19 Variant.

All new cases of the omicron were detected from samples taken from travelers who arrived in the country through Entebbe International airport

It is not clear which countries the travelers were from.

However, Omicron variant was first detected in Botswana and South Africa.
