Investigators are combing author and activist Rukira Kakwenza’s home in the Eastern district of Iganga, his lawyer has said.

Kakwenza was arrested from his house at Kisasai on December 28, 2021.

Whereas his prosecutors are yet to reveal his crimes, The Gazette understands that his arrest was linked to Twitter attack on the UPDF Commander Land Forces, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

His place of detention remains unknown.

However, sources say Kakwenza faces charges related to offensive communication.
