Second largest opposition political party (by representation in the 11th Parliament of Uganda), Forum for Democratic Change(FDC) votes today to pick a representative to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).

Tindyebwa Joseph, Seruwuge Yasin, Kaija Harold, Wante Jamal and Nanyonjo Susan face off.

One candidate is to be elected by 75 members of the National Executive Committee (NEC).

The winner here will join picks from other political parties who will then be subjected to polls by over 525 Members of Parliament.

Importantly, however, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) dominates the 11th Parliament of Uganda.
