Two police officers have been arrested and detained at Railways Police Station over negligence.

The suspects are: ASP Henry Nuwamanya and ASP Francis Olinga.

They are accused of authorizing a concert at Jokis Recreation Centre at Bulaga which attracted over 5, 000 revelers and as such, there was traffic flow disruption along the Masaka road for over 2 hours.

According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, the junior officers at police posts don’t hand such clearances but rather the District/Divisional Police Commander (DPC) and the Regional Police Commander (DPC).

Enanga says that the officers will be charged by the Force’s Disciplinary Committee over negligence.
