Rwanda Defence Force has confirmed that an unidentified Congolese soldier armed with an AK 47 rifle was shot dead this Friday after he crossed the “Petite Barrière” border in Rubavu District and began shooting at Rwandan security personnel.

2 Rwandan police officers were injured.
