Lira radio station operating illegally – UCC

Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has declared illegal the operation of Voice of the Gospel, a local radio station in Lira.
The radio station broadcasts on the 91.7 frequency and is reportedly owned by former Overseer of All Nations Church, Bishop Tom Ibrahim Okello. Other radio stations declared illegal are Eye FM in Sironko, Thunder Fm in Ntungamo, Bridge FM in Kyenjojo, Lwengo FM in Lwengo, Voice of Bukuya in Kassanda and Sabin FM in Bukwo. These form part of over 24 radio stations declared operating illegally.
