Former President candidate, Chapaa Karuhanga has been arrested in Tanzania.

Karuhanga, the Chairman and Managing Director of SEREFACO Ltd has been in Tanzania since January 2022 for investment reasons.

However, news just in is that he has been arrested at the airport.

Col Rtd Dr. Kizza Besigye confirms Karuhanga’s arrest.

“Just got info that Mr Chapaa Karuhanga, Chairman/MD of SEREFACO Ltd, who has been in Tz since Jan 2022, setting up his business there, is detained at Dar es Salaam airport. He’s been informed by Immigration Officers that he’s needed by Ug govt! More info to follow,” Dr. Besigye tweeted.

Chapaa is a founding member and senior (Eminent) Envoy/Advisor of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and a for Presidential Candidate (2001 elections).
