There was an attack on security personnel on night patrol last night at Kapeka playground in Nakaseke district. The incident happened at 22:45pm when unknown people armed with a gun attacked security personnel who had a joint patrol of Police and UPDF patrolling at Kapeka playground where there was a music show. 

The assailants shot at the patrollers and killed one UPDF personnel identified as Pvt. Tufeyo Obed, 25; attached to Namunkekela army detach. 

The other patrollers retaliated by shooting the assailants and killed two attackers. They also managed to recover one gun. 

The scene has been cordoned off pending further management by investigators.
