A senior police officer has succumbed to cancer.

A source tells Kampala Gazette that Superintendent of Police – SP Bernard Akatukwatsa – died Wednesday – after battling cancer for some time.

By the time of his death, Akatukwatsa was attached to the 999 Unit based at the Central Police Station – CPS – Kampala.
