News details have emerged as to the circumstances under which a police office attached to the Police Headquarters in Naguru.

45549 PC Wakulu Sedulaki, was beaten by mob on Saturday night on suspicion of being a thief.

The mob found him standing in front of a store belonging to Ivan Okoboi. Upon seeing Okoboi, he reportedly attempted to run. The action attracted the mob, who beat him up. He was rushed to Budaka Health Centre IV. However, he was pronounced dead on Sunday morning.

According to our source, Wakulu who hailed from the same area had traveled from Kampala to meet his girlfriend.

By the time of filing this story, burial arrangements were on-going.
