Samuel Odonga Otto
Ex-Aruu County Member of Parliament Samuel Odonga Otto has announced a return to elective politics.
Odonga was defeated in the 2021 general polls.
However, he petitioned the court, claiming that Christopher Komakech had not resigned his government job in time before engaging in the election. Odonga lost the appeal.
In a post on X on Thursday, Odonga said that:
I will be seeking re-election for MP, Aruu County, Pader District, 2026-2031, on an independent ticket.
“I will be starting with 5,000 votes that I got despite my arrest, being blocked by soldiers from accessing the tally center,” Odonga added. “Parliament needs a man called Otto” God’s timing.”
