UPDATE: 14 Killed In Lamwo Lightning Incident Were All South Sudanese Refugees
On November 2, 2024, In Lamwo district, there was an incident where Lightning struck 14 people to death. The incident left 34 others injured.
The incident happened during a prayer service at a church in Zone 8, Block 2 in Paluda Refugee Settlement Camp.
The victims had gathered for prayers when the rain started around 5:00 PM, and the lightning thunder struck at 5:30 PM.
Victims were evacuated to Paluda health center III
