The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has announced promotions and confirmations of division commanders.
In a circular dated December 11, 2024, the CDF announced promotions and confirmations of officers below:
- Brigadier General Stephen Mugerwa to Acting Major General, Commander of the 1st Infantry Division of the UPDF.
- Brigadier General Paul Muhanguzi to Acting Major General, Commander 2nd Infantry Division.
- Brigadier General Felix Busizori to Acting Major General, Commander of 4th Infantry Division.
- Brigadier General Keith Katungi to Acting Major General, Commander of the 5th Infantry Division.
“We congratulate the newly promoted general officers and wish them success in their assigned responsibilities,” reads a message by the army spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Felix Kulayigye.
