Fort Portal: Man shot for stealing from a Police Station
By Davis Mugabi
A man in the western town of Fort Portal is nursing wounds at Buhinga Regional Referral Hospital after he was shot at Fort Portal Central Police Station last night.
Well-placed sources told his reporter that a dread-locked youthful man sneaked into the police station under the cover of the dark, removed a tyre from an impounded commuter taxi registration number UAW 073P and set off, running. Warning shots fired over his head did not stop him.
Against the above background, he was shot in the leg and disabled.
He was later rushed to Buhinga Hospital for treatment.
Regional Police confirmed the matter, adding that further inquiries are on.
