Government has maintained a 72-hour PCR Covid-19 test for travelers, Kampala Gazette has learnt.
About two weeks ago, government revealed that they will no longer conduct COVID-19 tests for all passengers travelling into the country through the Entebbe International Airport.
However, addressing the media in Kampala on Monday, Internal Affairs Spokesperson Jacob Siminyu said that a PCR Covid-19 test within the last 72 hours is still a requirement.
This, he said, is for whoever is entering or exiting the country.
“We are not just inconveniencing you. PCR test done within 72 hours is a requirement,” Siminyu said.
