Centenary Bank and their client are disturbed at how a man in the bank’s security accessed a client’s account and withdrew Shs 500, 000 without an ATM card.

A source within the bank says that the incident happened on Saturday April 9, 2022 between 7:30pm and 8:30pm.

Nearly a month later, the Bank is yet to get back to us to give us their position.

But our sources note that as soon as the client noticed a breach, they informed the bank immediately. The source adds, the man, identified as Ivan Nagaba, attached to G4S Security was arrested near an ATM machine along Entebbe Road, where he withdrew the money from, as he plotted to go back for a second round.

He was arrested by the Bank security and held at the Central Police Station in Kampala. Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) was not readily available with the facts when our editor got in touch.

Our source, however, notes that the suspect may have had contact with the said client’s confidential details in the past.
