Kampala: Metropolitan Police arrest 18 in City Operation
In a bid to get rid of criminals in their jurisdiction, Police in Old Kampala have carried out an intelligence led operation and arrested 18 suspects.
The operation was conducted today at Bukoza and Kosovo areas in Lugala after surveillance.
The suspects are:
(1) Alifusi Baganinesa
(2) Mumbere Aloysius
(3) Bwambale Sadat
(4) Abubakar Swidiq
(5) Atakosesobi Ben
(6) Adriko Robert
(7) kisira Stephen
(8) Byamukama Siryaki
(9) Feni Alfred
(10) Andama Joseph
(11) Kule Kokasi
(12) Kigenyi Muhammad
(13) Niyonkuru Didier
(14) Sigoma Jackson
(15) Bwambale Makyosi
(16) Kizira Eric
(17) Nkuruziza John Babtist
(18) Zinyamenya Bosco
“All the suspects have been charged with being a Common Nuisance vide Old Kampala SD 110/09/11/2022,” Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango says.
Unfortunately during this operation, Onyango adds “a notorious hardcore criminal only known as Alias”MAMBA” saw the team of officers enroute to Bukoza Lugala and took off. We are hunting for him.”
