The body of a young man, 21, who died in an accident at Kabalagala Police Station along Ggaba Road in Kampala has been identified. The deceased has been identified as Collins Lokeris, the son of Mbale High Court Judge, Teko Lokeris and grandson of State of State for Energy, Peter Lokeris.

The victim has been identified as Ali Umar.

What happened

The pair were Tuesday afternoon driving at a break-neck speed along Ggaba Road (facing Kampala) when the deceased lost control of the vehicle (Mercedes Benzi, UBG 811C), and rammed into parked cars at the Kabalagala Police Station.

Lokeris died on the spot, while Umar survived with grave injuries, and was rushed to Nsambya Hospital.

By press time, Lokeris’ body was still at Mulago mortuary for a postmortem.
