President Yoweri Museveni and the Appointing Authority has appointed Patience Emily Rubagumya Tumusiime as Acting Judge of the High Court.
Rubagumya is the Commissioner Legal and Board Affairs at the Uganda Revenue Authority – URA.
Others appointed are:

- Mr. Mwaka Phillip
- Mr. Makumbi David Samson Lwokya
- Dr. Akello Echookit Christine
- His Worship Karemani Jameson Karemera
- Ms. Jacqueline Mwondha
- Mr. Kwizera Amos
- Mrs. Naluzze Aisha Batala
- Ms.Kania Rosette Comfort.
- Mr. Lubega Farouq.
Rubagumya, a lawyer, corporate executive and taxation expert, is known for pushing for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) while dealing with taxpayers and emphasizing a need to settle disputes outside of the courtroom. ADR typically includes early neutral evaluation, negotiation, conciliation, mediation, and arbitration. ADR has seen the URA collect more money.
Speaker of the 11th Parliament of Uganda, Annet Anitah Among, who also doubles as the Chair of the Appointments Committee of Parliament will tomorrow interact with the nominees.
