Manchester United have already made three signings on deadline day and they’re not finished yet.

United have announced Jonny Evans has signed a one-year deal. The former Leicester City defender rejoined the Reds on a short-term contract this summer so he could play during pre-season. However, injuries to United’s centre-backs have led to him joining on a permanent basis for the season.

Elsewhere, the club has agreed a deal to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent next year. Amrabat was United’s principal midfield target going into deadline day and the Reds are understood to have stumped up a €10million loan fee to secure the services of the Morocco international.

The move comes after United signed left-back Sergio Reguilon and goalkeeper Altay Bayindir earlier on deadline day. Reguilon joins on a loan deal from Tottenham, with United agreeing to cover 100 per cent of his £120,000-a-week wages, while Bayindir joins on a permanent deal from Fenerbahce.

One player who is not expected to leave tonight is Donny van de Beek. MEN Sport understands there was clubs interested but agreeing a move for the Dutch midfielder before 11pm looks increasingly unlikely.

Amrabat medical ‘done’

It’s being claimed by Sky Sports that Sofyan Amrabat has completed his Manchester United medical.

MEN Sport revealed earlier today that United had agreed a deal with Fiorentina for the Morocco international, with the club now pushing to complete the deal before the deadline.

Should the deal not be confirmed by 11pm tonight, United will be offered a lifeline as there is a way they could complete the move after the deadline passes.
