Miss Tourism Uganda 2023 queens joined students from Makerere University in a community clean-up activity that took place on September 30th, 2023.

Ayebare Resty Tuta, Miss Popularity 2023, and her colleague Ampeire Pauline (Miss Tourism Kigezi Region) are among the queens that graced the clean-up exercise that was organized by Makerere’s 89th leader of opposition, Mukwaya Muhammadi.

The cleaners participated in the activity as a way of promoting their cause of protecting and preserving the environment in order to promote green tourism.

The clean-up was organized under the theme ’embracing our societal responsibility of environmental preservation’ and it saw students clean up areas surrounding different hostels where they reside.

Mukwaya Muhammadi, the activity’s organizer, emphasized the need to protect the environment, and he said that student leaders must be exemplary and stand out to ensure that the environment is kept clean.

Other notable figures that graced the occasion included Makerere’s guild president, Maseruka Robert, and the 88th vice guild president, Margaret Nattabi.

Bin It Services Limited, Tukuuma, DM Climate View, and Badilisha are among the partners that joined the cause of the day.
