The police in Bukwo have opened an inquiry into the death of a man identified as Rogers Sematewo. He was 48 and a resident of Sosho village, Sosho Parish, Amanang Sub County, Bukwo district.
Preliminary findings indicate that Sematewo stole ‘molokonyi’ from a restaurant in Bukwo town. Molokonyi is prepared from cow hooves that are chopped into three of four pieces (per hoof) and cooked for about five hours. The incident happened at Market Cell, Kapkureson Ward in Bukwo Town Council, Bukwo District, when Sematewo stole from a restaurant owned by Philip Kaptililwo, alias Barit. He got choked in the process. He was rushed to Bukwo General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
By press time, Sematewo’s body was still at the same hospital for a postmortem.
