Accident: MP Ogong airlifted to Mulago

Dokolo South Member of Parliament, Felix Okot Ogong has this afternoon been airlifted to Kampala from where he is expected to undergo specialised checks following Friday morning accident he, driver and bodyguard were involved in at Agwata along the Dokolo-Lira highway.

Whereas the trio, driving in a Land Cruiser registration number UBB 972S, were rushed to a private medical facility in Lira, and later discharged on account of being in “stable condition”, the vocal legislature is expected to be monitored by specialists to further assess the extent of the accident.

Not much is known about the condition of the other occupants of the vehicle.

Traffic and Road Safety Spokesperson Faridah Nampiima confirmed the accident, saying the cause of it is under investigation.
