Under the umbrella of Aduku Secondary School Old Students Association (ASSOSA), former students of Aduku SS have launched a fundraising drive to rehabilitate the dilapidated school structures.    

Dubbed “CEMENT COLLECTION DRIVE @30K EVERY BAG OF CEMENT COUNTS”, the drive is aimed at soliciting financial support from all Old Boys-OBs, Old Girls-OBs and well-wishers.

Dr. Emmanuel Okello, the Chairperson of Aduku secondary school old student’s Association, says that their plan is to raise Shs 700 million to rehabilitate the school Laboratory, Library and dormitories to improve the performance of the school. 

Zechonia Azzo Odama, the head teacher of Aduku secondary school, welcomed the development.

He believes constructing a science Laboratory will go a long way to improve science performance in the school.

Established in 1967 as a junior school under the foundation of Anglican Church, the government took over Aduku SS in 1976. 

The school that was among the top performers in the country, has for the last 15-years failed to register a single first grade.
