The Uganda Airlines, a member of the African Airlines Association, will between November 19, 2023 and November 21, 2023 host at least 500 high-profile delegates from 35 African countries.
This, as African Airlines Association (AFRAA) hosts its 55th Annual General Assembly at Speke Resort Hotel in Munyonyo.
The AGA will be held under the theme “Strides to Transform Aviation for Development.”
Speaking at the CEO Breakfast meeting at 4 Points by Sheraton in Kampala, Uganda Airlines Chief Executive Officer, Jennifer Bamuturaki, who doubles as the AFRAA President, said that so far, 409 delegates have registered and confirmed attending the AFRAA AGA.
“We are honored to be chosen as the host for the AFRAA General Assembly, an event that has been pivotal in shaping the future of aviation in Africa for over five decades. This presents a unique opportunity for Uganda Airlines to not only showcase our commitment to excellence, but also to contribute to the discourse that will drive the industry forward,” said Bamuturaki.
According to Bamuturaki, the Assembly provides a platform for open dialogue and collaboration, where “we can collectively address the challenges that our industry faces and explore innovative solutions.”
“Among the issues to be discussed is how to move the African Aviation Industry to another level with the changes happening globally. Uganda Airlines is eager to play a key role in these discussions and contribute to the advancement of aviation in Africa,” Bamuturaki added.
Bamuturaki urged the public to make the most of the event.
“I would like to urge you to make the most of the event, through networking. The companies that coming through to the country are coming to look for among others investment opportunities in Uganda,” Bamuturaki said.
