Veteran economist, Prof. Augustus Nuwagaba, has said that he was “deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Kampala businessman Apollo Nyegamehe commonly known as Aponye. “
Aponye died in a nasty accident on Thursday night in Western Uganda.
In a tweet Friday, Prof. Nuwagaba said “Aponye was a successful businessman and a remarkable individual who made significant contributions to the community.”
According to Prof. Nuwagaba, Aponye’s entrepreneurial spirit, dedication, and vision have left a lasting impact on those who knew him.”
“His legacy will continue to inspire and guide generations to come,” the Professor said. “It is important to remember the positive memories we shared with him and to celebrate the life he lived. His accomplishments and the lives he touched will forever be cherished. May Aponye’s soul Rest in Eternal Peace, and his family and friends find comfort in the fond memories and the legacy he has left behind.”
