Details are beginning to emerge, showing the persons who could have murdered the acting Chief Administrative Officer – Bukwo district, Charles Robert Ogwang.
Ogwang was brutally killed at Kiryowa, Gome along the Kampala Bombo road at the weekend.
Well-placed sources in security say that Ogwang’s killers first inquired whether he was Mr. Ogwang.
“The attackers inquired whether he was Mr. Ogwang, and it is at this stage that he sensed danger and he told them that he was his driver. They removed his wallet and phone, which they checked. After establishing his true identity, the assailants fired several bullets at him from the passenger side,” a source said.
A medical staff at Bombo Military Hospital, where Ogwang was rushed for treatment correlates this statement.
According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, a medical staff whom Ogwang confided in revealed that the deceased knew his killers.
Enanga says Ogwang narrated all that happened to him to the medical staff as they tried to give him First Aid.
“It’s unfortunate that the victim succumbed to the injuries,” Enanga said.
