Be on high alert, Police’s CPC SCP Namutebi tells Greater Bushenyi Cops
The Ag. Chief Political Commissar, SCP Hadijja Namutebi, has implored officers in the Greater Bushenyi Region to have a positive attitude towards work for an effective policing drive in the region.
SCP Namutebi is leading a team of senior officers from Police Headquarters on an a rectification and ideological orientation tour.
“Have positive attitude towards work. Having a positive attitude in the workplace won’t necessarily make you better at policing but it will improve the way the community view us as a Force,” said Namutebi.
She urged the officers to plan for their future.
“Have a journey. Don’t live life beyond your means. Get loans and invest. Work for your old age.”
The Chief Political Commissar also reminded the officers to improve on alertness, amidst threats of attacks on security personnel.
The team also urged officers in the field to avoid any form of corruption and keep out cases of indiscipline for a better service delivery to the public.
The rectification and ideological orientation tour team was today meeting officers from the districts of Rubirizi, and Bushenyi districts respectively.
In 2015, Uganda Police Force management passed a policy that requires the Chief Political Commissar to go around the country and carry out a rectification campaign exercise, visit units across the country to be able to understand and appreciate the conditions under which police officers serve and then rectify the problems while in the field or return the concerns to police management if the issues are long term.
