Bidco shows up for Mama D as Chef takes a second shot at breaking the Guinness Cookathon World Record

Professional chef Dorcus Bashema Kirabo, alias Mama D, has, on Saturday morning, started a second shot at breaking the world cookathon record.

The Irishman Alan Fisher’s cooking record of 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds, which was set on October 3, 2023, in Japan, still stands.

Mama D’s first attempt went to waste after the footage sent to back the attempt turned out not to be clear, and so, Cookathon officials did not verify Mama D’s record.

However, Mama D is confident that this time around, she has all it takes.

She addressed the media at the High Note Bar in Kamuli-Kireka on Friday.

During the presser, she acknowledged the support of partners, including Bidco Uganda Limited.

Bidco showed up to support her with assorted products, including Fortune spaghetti, Fortune mayo, Fortune sunflower oil, Fortune butto, Fortune nuunu, Fortune nyama binzari, Whitestar Detergent, and Blue Magic laundry soap.

However, she appealed for more, as she will also be feeding school-aged children and orphans during the one-week non-stop cooking period.
