Weeks after promoting 16 subordinate officers, the Inspector General of Police – IGP – Martins Okoth Ochola has promoted more officers.

A source tells the Kampala Gazette that the IGP only sports officers (subordinate). Exercising the same powers, the IGP also regraded SPCs – Special Police Constables to PCs – Police Constables. In total, 13 officers have been promoted. One from the rank of AIP to IP, one from the rank of Sgt to AIP, three from the rank of Cpl to Sgt, and eight from the rank of PC to Cpl.
