Breaking! Police officers shot dead, guns taken in suspected rebel attack

Two police officers attached to Nakasengere Police Post in Nakasozi Sub-County, Kiboga district have this evening been shot dead by unknown assailants in a suspected rebel attack.
The number of guns taken are yet to be established, a well-placed source told us a while ago.
The deceased have been identified as Cpl Francis Nsubuga, the in charge Nakasozi Police Post and SPC Paul ddumba.
Whereas the Police are yet to issue a statement in regards to the killings, The Gazette has seen an internal communication which reads: “A confirmed report of rebel attack on Nakasengere police post under Kiboga District has been received. Two police officers killed and two guns taken. Step up vigilance visibility in your areas of responsibility.”
