A Sino Truck, registration number UBH 126J/UAX012V has killed 3 pupils of Nabuyonga Primary and Malukhu Primary Schools respectively.

The deceased have been identified as Namugosa Shakira, 9 a puil of Malukhu Primary; Wasike Jane, 3.5 years, and Wasike Grace aged 12 years both of whom were pupils of Nabuyonga Primary School.

Sources say the accident occured at 7:30am this morning Hash Petrol Station along Mbale-Tororo Road.

Eyewitnesses say that the truck which was from Tororo side had its axle deterred, hitting the pupils to death.

By press time, the driver of the truck identified as Geoffrey Lukenge had been arrested and detained at Mbale Central Police Station while bodies were conveyed to Mbale City Mortuary pending postmortem examination.
