A senior military officer working with the Operation Wealth Creation – OWC – has succumbed to cancer.

Well-placed sources identify the deceased as Lt. Col. Simon Agong.

Agong is said to have died from Victoria Hospital in Kampala at 9pm Monday evening after a long battle with cancer.

By the time of his death, Agong was the OWC Coordinator for Dokolo district.
