Busongora County South: Electoral Commission releases full programme, polling date revealed

The Electoral Commission has approved a full Programme for conducting the by-election for Member of Parliament for Busongora County South Constituency, Kasese District.
About two weeks ago, the Court of Appeal nullified the victory of Gideon Thembo Mujungu as the Busongora South Member of Parliament in Kasese district. This followed a successful appeal lodged by his independent rival, Mbaju Kathika.
In response, the EC has released a full programme.
Signed by the Commission Chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama, the programme shows that Busongora County South will go to polls on August 18, 2022.
