Health Minister, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, will tomorrow address the country on the COVID-19 situation ahead of festive season.

Ministry Spokesperson Emmanuel Ainebyoona confirmed the address and said “time will be communicated”

The address, according to Ainebyoona, is in line with the current rise in the number of new Covid-19 infections.

According to results of COVID-19 tests done on 20 December 2021, the Ministry confirmed 502 new cases. The cumulative confirmed cases are 130,178

The breakdown of the new cases is: 483 Alerts And Contacts; Wakiso (199), Kampala (238), Mbarara (6), Arua (5), Gulu (5), Jinja (3), Luweero (2), Soroti (2), Koboko (1), Masaka (1), Kabale (1), Amuru (1), Busia (1), Kibuku (1) Kyotera (12), Amuru (3), Tororo (2)
