Former Soroti City Mayor aspirant, Elias Ejoku, is dead.

Ejoku died last evening from Mulago Hospital where he was rushed by well-wishers on Friday evening.

According to sources, Ejoku, a resident of Mbuya in Nakawa Division -Kampala, left Soroti on Friday by bus.

However, he was seen in Kitintale, walking in an uncoordinated manner. He also had a bloody mouth and was unable to talk. He was then rushed to Mulago for treatment.

However, he succumbed to injuries on Sunday.

Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed Ejoku’s death.

He said everything is being done, including a review of the CCTV footage to unearth what exactly happened to Ejoku.

Owoyesigyire noted that a team has been dispatched to Mulago to ascertain his cause of death.
