Veteran journalist Risdel Kasaira is dead.
Kasasira died in an accident at Kalagala Malyansimbi village along the Lyantonde-Kashagama road in Lyantonde District.
It is alleged that on 03/01/2025, at around 1300/c, at Kalagala village along the Lyantonde-Kashagama road, m/v Reg No. UBK 851Y, a black Toyota Fielder, drowned in water after losing control and ended up falling in the water trench; then one passenger died. His wife, Nshimire Sharlote, 36, was driving when the accident occurred.
Their children, Ntone Aretha, 5, and Nowangye Elerio, 3, were injured.
By press time, the body was at Lyantonde hospital mortuary while the injured were at the hospital for first aid and treatment.
