With days away from the Uganda Law Society (ULS) Annual General Meeting (AGM) in which the legal fraternity will vote for the next Society President, candidate – Diana Ninsiima Kibuuka – continues to preach the message of unity.
Speaking on NBS TV’s Morning Breeze Tuesday on the subject: leveraging networks for business growth; Kibuuka, reemphasized the need for a “One ULS” (her slogan).
This is because Kibuuka sees herself as a ‘connector, builder of networks and relationships and a problem solver’
“I see my role as a leader to be a connector. I must be on top of things. I must build networks and relationships to get things done. I must be a problem solver,” Kibuuka advanced her message, adding that any leader must network for “the people they are serving to help them achieve their targets because “no inward looking strategy has ever succeeded.”
But despite the message of what to expect from her, Kibuuka says that it is important for those she will lead to religiously continue to add value to themselves.
“Continuously add value to yourself. That way, you will always be in position to take up any opportunities that come your way. You can never miss on any and that helps your individual growth and the growth of people around you,” said Kibuuka, who boasts of 15 years of experience in the legal space.
According to Kibuuka, “I am a strong believer in networking and collaborating with various stakeholders in order to drive and achieve one’s goal.”
Next Media Chief Executive Officer, Kin Kariisa, agrees with Kibuuka.
“Networking is a key ingredient in personal, community or national transformation,” tweeted Kariisa shortly after Kibuuka concluded the TV breakfast meeting.
Voting for the ULS President is scheduled for September 10, 2022 at the AGM in Entebbe.
