Dr. Carol Adoch: First woman awarded Doctor of Laws by Makerere University

In the on-going 72nd graduation at Makerere University, Ms. Carol Adoch, was today awarded a Doctor of Laws (LL.D) becoming the first woman to be awarded a Doctor of Laws (LL.D) from School of Law, Makerere University.

Her Thesis “Access to Gender Justice in Uganda: A Feminist Analysis of the Experience of Rape Victims.” thrilled her supervisors and was inevitable that she is awarded a Doctor of Laws.

Dr. Adoch is a Senior Associate, Civ Source Africa and an Assistant Lecturer at Makerere University.
She previously worked as a Research Fellow at ACODE. Before that, Dr. Adoch worked with the Foundation for Human Rights Initiative (FHRI) as the Manager, Rights Monitoring and Documentation.

Dr. Adoch is an alumni of University of Cambridge (2008-2009) and University of Dar es Salaam (Bachelor of Laws, 2000-2004).
