Exclusive: 4 Chinese Nationals, 2 UPDF Officers Arrested over Assault, Robbery of Investors

Four Chinese nationals and two UPDF soldiers have been arrested for assaulting and robbing Chinese investors. 

Liu Quin Shan and Liu Han Bin, both Chinese owners of Nec Watu Automobile Uganda Group,are admitted at Nakasero hospitalin Kampala.

The suspects are: Liang Kai, Cheng Cheng, Ding Deng, and Wuz Heng. These were arrested along with two UPDF soldiers. 

The arrest followed a search at the Sino Industrial Park. The Elgon Police, led by the R/CID/Officer, DPC Industrial Division Police, and a team of detectives, joined CMI and JAT and conducted the operation. 

However, the four Chinese nationals were arrested at the Busia Border while attempting to flee the country. 

By press time, the suspects were on their way to Kampala for interogation.
