Financial Intelligence Authority: Sydney Asubo’s tenure as Executive Director ends

The tenure of Sydney Asubo as Executive Director of the Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA), Uganda, has come to an end.
Asubo, an experienced lawyer, was appointed as the Authority’s ED in 2014.
However, he announced in a tweet Sunday that: “I wish to share that as my tenure as the Executive Director, Uganda Financial Intelligence Authority, comes to an end on August 31, 2023.
“I will immediately start a new role as advisor to the Uganda Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism National Task Force,” he said.
