Forceful disarmament: One shot dead in Karenga in Monday night shoot out

A joint security team last night “put out of action” a Karimojong warrior in Napak.
The warrior had entered an ambush set up by security at Akucho, Dwol Parish, Nabwal Sub County in Napak district after a foiled kraal raid at Kangole. One SMG rifle with an empty magazine was recovered.
Mt. Moroto Police Spokesperson IP Mike Ilongole confirmed the incident.
Last night recovery makes a total of 128 guns and 1244 ammunitions recovered by joint security forces in Usalama Kwa wote disarmament operations in Karamoja.
