Gen. Bakahumura
Brig Gen (Rtd) Charles Bakahumura has reportedly been arrested, according to reports emerging on Wednesday. Bakahumura is the former Chief of Military Intelligence in the army.
It is not yet clear why he may have been arrested. However, the CDF’s Wednesday morning post appears to point to the arrest.
“We have captured one of the dancing Generals. Another one will be captured soon,” said the CDF in a post on X. “One is running for dear life in one of his farms in Gomba. He might try escaping to Rwanda. We shall capture him wherever he goes.” The CDF did not mention names, but sources say it may be Bakahumura who is under arrest.
Bakahumura was among 19 UPDF generals retired from the army weeks ago.
