Geofrey Mugisha Launches “7:7 Revolution” After Picking NRM Youth League Nomination Forms
Kampala, Uganda | July 7, 2025 — Businessman and youth mobilizer Geofrey Mugisha has officially declared his bid for the position of National Chairperson of the NRM Youth League, unveiling a bold agenda he calls the “7:7 Revolution.” This announcement came shortly after he picked his nomination forms from the party headquarters in Kampala.
Speaking passionately on the symbolic 7th day of the 7th month, Mugisha said the 7:7 Revolution is not just a campaign slogan but a generational call to action for Uganda’s youth.

“We ignite the 7:7 Revolution—a movement to reclaim the youth’s rightful mandate in shaping Uganda’s destiny. We stand not as spectators of history, but as its architects,” he said.
Mugisha emphasized that the spirit of young liberators who fought in the 1981 Bush War lives on in today’s generation. “The fire lit by young liberators in 1981 will not fade. We will carry it forward for the 38 million Ugandans born after the Luwero Bush War,” he declared.
Unveiling his grassroots-driven 7:7 structure, Mugisha revealed that his campaign is already mobilizing youth leaders at every sub-county level across Uganda, with Field Command Officers deployed in all regions—from Kayunga to Karamoja, Gulu to Mityana.
“We REFUSE to beg for a seat at the table. We will build new tables. We came to RECLAIM what truly belongs to the youth—their voice, their mandate,” he asserted.
He called upon fellow youth leaders and members of the NRM Youth League to join the movement and support his bid for chairperson.

“To fellow young leaders across the nation, join me, Mugisha Geofrey, on this journey to becoming your next National Chairperson of the NRM Youth League,” he said, ending his speech with the rallying cry: “Tusonge Mbele – Kazi Indlee!”
The campaign now moves into high gear as Mugisha prepares for countrywide mobilization ahead of the internal party elections.
