Government through the Ministry of Internal Affairs has started carrying out tests on job seekers going to the Middle East.

In the recent past, there have been cases of missing internal organs such as the kidney from those returning from kyeyo abroad.

Acting on such cases, the Ministry now demands that companies sending workers abroad test applicants before they travel.

Upon return, the returnees will meet own costs for testing to ascertain whether they returned with their internal organs intact.

Internal Affairs Spokesperson Simon Mundeyi confirmed the new measure.

Mundeyi said this will cut on complaints of missing internal organs and claims that they were harvested while in the Middle East whereas some did not have them before they left for kyeyo.
