Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng has Friday morning launched ‘HIV Time Up’ campaign.

Dr. Aceng says the campaign will rally support towards accelerating the drive towards ending AIDS by 2030.

“Uganda continues to make considerable progress in the fight against HIV/AIDS,” Dr. Aceng tweeted Friday.

“We are among the first 8 countries to fully achieve the 90:90:90 targets by end of 2020.”

Between 2010 and 2020, Dr. Aceng says “we achieved a 61% decline in AIDS related deaths & 60% reduction in number of new HIV infections”
