How IMC Doctor Met Her Death: Boda Boda Rider Missing, Driver Arrested

Details show that Emmeline Bagonza, 41, met her death last evening at Nakawa traffic lights.
Bagonza was on a boda boda when a commuter taxi registration number UAW 332T failed to break, knocking Bagonza. She died on the spot. The taxi continued, knocking a Toyota Hiace registration number UBJ 885Q. Traffic and Road Safety Directorate Spokesperson ASP Faridah Nampiima confirmed the incident that happened at 5pm.
The motorcycle and the rider remain missing.
Yudah Bukeya, the taxi driver, is in custody.
Nampiima says further investigation is underway.
Until her death, Bagonza was a physician at IMC hospital in Kololo.
The 2021 Annual Crime Report released recently shows that 528 passengers on motorcycles died in 2021 compared to 409 in 2020. On the other hand, 1, 390 riders died in 2021 compared to 1,146 in 2020.
