Five people are in police custody over drug trafficking and being in possession of narcotic substances.
Police Spokesperson says that Jovia Mbabazi and Sulaiman Kaszi and three others supplied drug-laced cookies to some high school students (victims and school names withheld) ahead of a weekend party. 10 of the students who ordered for the snacks were suspended. Against the above background, Intelligence got wind of the order and suspension.
According to Enanga, the suspects target students between 13 and 20 years.
Investigators say that delivery areas for the suspects have been Bugolobi and Kira among others.
Once the snacks which includes pancakes, cookies among others, are eaten, it makes the buyers ‘high’.
Enanga says that the suspects will be charged accordingly.
