By Daniel Mwesigwa
A police officer in Kamwenge has shot and killed three people after a disagreement in a bar over a waitress.
The deceased have been identified as Richard Tuhise, 28, a resident of Bunoga, Kinoni, Busiraba Sub-County; Innocent Friday, 38 (resident of the same address) and Sam Baseka, 18, a resident of Bwizi, Nkoma-Katalyeba.
According to our sources, the officer identified as No. 68371 PC Nuwagaba had a misunderstanding with Tuhise and Friday over a bar attendant whom the three were in love with.
It’s at that point that Tuhise and Friday parted ways. However, the officer returned with a gun (UG POL 565903521-31923) and shot the three people to death, and took off.
A source in position of authority tells us that Nuwagaba was arrested in Kyenjojo and his gun, three magazines and 40 rounds of ammunition recovered and exhibited.
The bodies were retrieved and taken to Rukunyu hospital for postmortem.
