Police have continued to identify victims of the fatal road crash that occurred on February 13, 2026, in Kiruhura District, with authorities confirming the identity of seven deceased persons, including a man from Oyam District.
In a statement issued on February 16, 2026, the Rwizi Regional Police said the identification exercise is ongoing, with one body still unidentified.
According to police, the following victims have so far been identified:
- Musinguzi Victor, male adult, aged 30, from Ibanda District
- Otaki Charles, male adult, aged 49, from Oyam District
- Abdu Sserugo, from Nsangi, Wakiso District
- Lukyamuzi Godfrey, from Kinoni, Lwengo District, the driver of the drone vehicle
- Kitone Julius, from Masaka District
- Ajidra Bosco, from Maracha District
- Agaba Onesmas, male adult, aged 45
Police said efforts are ongoing to establish the identity of the remaining victim.
The statement was issued by SP Kasasira Samson, the Rwizi Regional Police Spokesperson, who noted that investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
Authorities have urged relatives of missing persons to check with police and nearby health facilities as the identification process proceeds.
